Programs
The Lead To Excel Youth Leadership Academy is an interactive leadership and personal-development experience for young people ages 15–21.
The academy may be delivered through a 12-session comprehensive model or a 6-session condensed model.
Each program is customized in consultation with the sponsoring organization. Topics, examples, speakers, scheduling, field experiences, and final presentations may be adapted to meet local needs.
The 12-session academy provides an extended leadership-development experience with additional time for discussion, reflection, skill-building, mentorship, and project preparation.
Students explore the meaning of leadership, examine different leadership styles, establish program expectations, and begin identifying their personal strengths.
Participants examine how identity, values, integrity, and personal choices influence leadership.
Students practice clear communication, active listening, respectful dialogue, conflict resolution, and constructive feedback.
Participants develop techniques for organizing ideas, reducing presentation anxiety, telling compelling stories, and speaking confidently before an audience.
Students participate in exercises focused on trust, cooperation, delegation, accountability, and group problem-solving.
Participants learn how local government and community institutions function and explore ways young people can participate in civic life.
Students identify issues affecting their communities and learn how to research, communicate, and advocate for responsible solutions.
Participants study budgeting, saving, banking, credit, responsible spending, financial goals, and wealth-building fundamentals.
Students will explore the principles of ethical leadership, learning how integrity, accountability, and sound decision-making build trust, inspire others, and create a positive impact in their communities.
Participants examine the responsible use of artificial intelligence, digital tools, social media, online communication, and personal branding.
Students finalize their selected community issue, research findings, proposed solution, and presentation.
Participants deliver their final presentations and receive recognition for completing the academy.
